DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND WEB APPLICATION

Introduction Course

Database Management System and Web Application is ICT courses offered at vocational college. This course is intended to provide guidance and training, as well as an opportunity for new generations to develop an effective database, which parallel with the current technology and development of online systems.

Database software is used especially in the work that involves a lot of data storage. It programmed to collect and store information which allows users to find specific information easily and faster.

This course is interesting as it provides exposure to students on development of database technology and web applications system.
  • Web application (web app) is an application program that is stored a remote server and delivered over the internet through browser interface.
  • Database management system (DBMS) is a system software used for creating and managing database. It is provides users and programmers with a systematic way to create, retrieve, update and managing data.
Other than that, on 8th semester, students have to undergo training in the workplace (on job training) for 3 months to improve the skills that have been acquired during the college and applied in the real workplace.

Career Opportunities
It is an advantage to the graduates who have completed this course successfully as they have been equip with the appropriate knowledge and skills before enter into the real workplace. Their job prospects that can be pursued as a web developer, database systems builder, data managers, graphic designers and web page data analysts.
